Pernel Media is a creative and diverse independent TV production company founded by Samuel Kissous in 2009. Headquartered in Paris and incorporated in the UK as Pernel Media Ltd, the business creates and produces factual entertainment, game shows, entertainment, specialist factual and scripted for French, US and UK broadcasters.

Original Pernel Media productions for both French and international broadcasters include ‘Rise and fall of the Maya’, co produced with RMCD, National Geographic, Histoire TV, ZDFI, ZDFS, TV5 Quebec, ‘After the Asteroid’ for France 5, Ushuaia TV and NHK,  ‘Ancient Superstructures’ for RMC Découverte, Histoire TV, SBS and ZDFS and ‘Ramses the Great, King of Ancient Egypt’, produced for Canal+ Group and Cineflix.

In 2024, the company launched a drama division with the production of new English-drama series ‘The Au Pair’, starring Sir David Suchet, for Channel 5, Canal+ Group, and ITV Studios and the production of ‘Murder in Millau’ for France Télévisions.

Pernel Media also produces formats such as Wheeler Dealers France, an adaptation of the English TV program, Wheeler Dealers.
