Pernel Media is a creative and diverse TV production company founded by Samuel Kissous in 2009. Headquartered in Paris and incorporated in the UK as Pernel Media Ltd, the business creates and produces scripted and unscripted series for French, British, and international broadcasters. The company has a long standing reputation in international coproductions. 

Since 2024, the company has produced a fast growing slate of English-speaking scripted series such as The Au Pair (featuring Sir David Suchet), Missed Call (with Joanna Scanlan, Claire Keim, Robert Lindsay, Rupert Graves, François-Xavier Demaison) and The Last Resort (with Caroline Quentin, Jason Watkins, Tessa Peake-Jones, John Hannah). Murder in Millau (with Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Elodie Frégé) is a French-speaking procedural that aired on France Télévisions on January 2026 with 5.1 million viewers, the highest rated program on all channels that month.

Some unscripted series that have travelled globally include the ‘Rise and Fall’ strand, co produced with RMCD, National Geographic, Histoire TV, ZDFI, ZDFS, TV5 Quebec, ‘After the Asteroid’ for France 5, Ushuaia TV and NHK,  ‘Ancient Superstructures’ for RMC Découverte, Histoire TV, SBS and ZDFS and ‘Ramses the Great, King of Ancient Egypt’, produced for Canal+ Group and Cineflix.

Pernel Media also produces  Wheeler Dealers France, an adaptation of the Discovery format Wheeler Dealers, now in its 11th season.
