Record audience in January for RMC Découverte with  the series “Rise and fall of Maya”. 
The first episode, “From the Origins to the Fall”, set the channel’s prime-time record for the season, with 455,000 viewers.

The apogee of the Maya civilization took place between 250 and 900 AD. Around 900 AD, a strange phenomenon occurred: the Maya cities were abandoned. But how can this be explained? Why, at the height of their civilization, did the Maya abandon their most sumptuous cities, temples, pyramids and palaces?

On January 19, “The trojan war revealed: myth and reality” will be rebroadcast at 9pm on France 5 in the Science Grand Format slot.
