With the help of exceptional archives and a dive into unpublished secret police documents, Ruth Zylberman recounts the complex trajectory of three of the men indicted in the 1952 Slansky trial: Rudolph Slansky, Rudolph Margolius and Arthur London.
As she tells the story of the trial, Ruth Zylberman meets their families, whose fates have been shattered, stigmatized and reduced to minimal survival. To film them is to go beyond the frozen archives of the trial, to give these men substance and a human face.
The documentary was also selected in the “National Documentary” category at FIPADOC 2022.
