A docu-fiction filmed on the archaeological sites of his epic journey — from Greece to Egypt, through Turkey, Mesopotamia and the Persian Near East — interwoven with costume drama scenes shot in the studios of Marrakech and on location in Morocco.

France 3 will broadcast “Murder in Millau” on Saturday, January 24.

Near the Millau Viaduct, the body of Paul Gasteuil is discovered wearing a devil mask. This disturbing staging appears to be linked to the legend of Sainte-Enimie and intrigues Alice Nerval, the Millau gendarmerie captain assigned to the case.

In order to unravel the mystery, Alice agrees to team up with Adrien Nerval, her father-in-law, a captain who was suspended six months earlier due to personal issues…

The situation is all the more tense as Adrien has had no contact for years with his son Jérémy — who would be furious if he discovered the identity of his wife’s new colleague.

Will Alice manage to navigate both this particularly complex investigation and an explosive family situation?
