Alexander the Great, Conqueror of Legend

ARchaeology & paleontolofy

Synopsis

It’s one of the most fascinating epics in history. In less than 10 years, a young man in his twenties managed to conquer an immense territory stretching from the eastern Mediterranean to the borders of India. It’s the story of David versus Goliath. Alexander the Great at the head of the small kingdom of Macedonia managed to defeat Darius III, the ruler of the powerful Persian Empire. How was this feat possible? Who was this dazzlingly successful man? What secrets lie behind his extraordinary career? Who supported, trained and influenced Alexander? These are all questions that continue to drive historians and archaeologists as they attempt, more than 2,000 years after the fact, to better understand who Alexander the Great was.
