Tonight, France 5 presents presents “Mammal Origins.”

Long before the rise of the dinosaurs, and millions of years before the first flowers appeared, a little-known evolutionary branch was already setting a crucial transformation in motion.
Two hundred and sixty million years ago, the therapsids paved the way for the emergence of mammals — and ultimately, for us.
